FastReport VCL 2.56

June 25th, 2008 by admin
Reporting tool component for Delphi.
FastReport is a highly flexible report designer. It can obtain data for the report from just about any type of data source, including strings lists, BDE databases, ADO data sources (without using the BDE), Interbase (using IBO), Pascal arrays and records.

FastReport has one of the most attractive user interfaces you will find, with all the latest user interface components, such as dockable toolbars. The end-users, that will use the application will definitely approve that most reports can be created using only the mouse.

You also need to consider that FastReport includes the ability to not only change the design of the report, but also the ability to change the queries and databases which the report draws its data from. FastReport even includes its own scripting language, to ensure any report can easily be changed by both the programmer and the end-user. I have tested this tool on BCB 6.0 and the designer keeps the same good characteristics as for DELPHI versions.

The actual version changed RTF and XLS export filters (TfrRtfAdvExport, TfrOLEExcelExport)
- fix FielIsNull()
- fix stretched bug in TfrPictureView
- fix TfrReport.Clear
- fix bug with number of copies in ‘Print’ window.
- fix TfrButtonControl .
- fix TfrView.SaveToFR3Stream
- fixed bug with stretched breaked bands

FastReport is written in 100% Object Pascal. Can be installed in Delphi 2-7, 2005 and Borland C++Builder 3-6.
